Dr. Laurence Heller
Creator of the NARM Model
Dr. Laurence Heller is the creator of the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Senior Faculty member, International Trainer, and co-author of Healing Developmental Trauma: How Early Trauma Affects Self-Regulation, Self-Image and the Capacity for Relationship and Crash Course: A Self-Healing Guide to Auto Accident Trauma and Recovery.
Dr. Richard Schwartz
Internal Family Systems
Richard Schwartz began his career as a systemic family therapist and an academic. Grounded in systems thinking, Dr. Schwartz developed Internal Family Systems (IFS) in response to clients’ descriptions of various parts within themselves. He focused on the relationships among these parts and noticed that there were systemic patterns to the way they were organized across clients.


Dr. Sarah Bacon
CDC, Senior Advisor on Adverse Childhood Experiences
Dr. Sarah Bacon is Senior Advisor on Adverse Childhood Experiences and supports the Center from her position in the Office of Strategy and Innovation (OSI). In this role, she provides strategic leadership and coordination across a range of injury and violence topics as they relate to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). She also ensures strategic collaboration throughout CDC and with external agencies focusing on ACEs. Sarah is focused on advancing the evidence of effectiveness for prevention of ACEs and mitigation of their impact, and on ensuring that the science is translated into action in communities across the country.
Dr. Stephanie Vaughn
Linehan Board Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist™
Dr. Vaughn is a seasoned Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Linehan Board Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist™ (DBT), national speaker, and has served as an expert consultant for variety of institutions including the U.S. Department of Defense, Kennedy Krieger Hospital, Jacksonville Naval Hospital, Kentucky Western State Hospital, & Camp Pendleton Marine Base. She earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, completed a Doctoral internship at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Dixie Brown, owner and Executive Director of Willow Place for Women, is an Integrative Medicine Practitioner passionate about helping individuals who seek recovery from substance use, mental health and eating disorders.
Mike Giresi
Clinical Director, Family First Adolescent Services
Mike Giresi started his career in the mental health field working with adult clients who suffered from complex trauma and PTSD, as well as chemical and process addictions. He has since traveled to India to study and become certified in Yoga and Meditation. Mike is a Florida Certified Addiction Counselor and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). Mike is also a nationally Certified Trauma Professional through Spirit2Spirit Trauma Healing and a certified NeuroAffective Relational Model® (NARM®) Practitioner, Consultant, and Training Assistant through the NARM® Training Institute.


Brad Kammer
NARM Master Therapist and Senior Trainer
Brad Kammer is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. Brad is trained as a Somatic Psychotherapist, a NARM Master Therapist, Consultant, and Faculty Trainer, teaching NARM and working with complex trauma internationally. Brad is also a Somatic Experiencing (SE) Practitioner, Consultant and Faculty Trainer, and has been involved in bringing SE to various communities around the world.

Dr. Clifford Sussman
Gaming Disorder Specialist
Dr. Sussman is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and psychotherapist who has been a pioneer in recognizing and treating internet gaming disorder since 2008, long before it became recognized by the World Health Organization as an official diagnosis. As an expert consultant he helped develop the first Digital Use Disorder track at Caron Renaissance Treatment Center. As a programmer, software developer, and gamer himself, he is dedicated to helping people achieve healthier, more balanced relationships with digital technology.

Sally Roesch
LPC, MHSP
Sally Roesch is intensively trained in a highly sought after treatment, Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), a specialized treatment for Chronic Depression, Anorexia-Nervosa, and disorders of Over-Control (OC). Radically-Open DBT promotes openness, flexibility, and direct communication. Sally received her Master’s Degree at Vanderbilt University and her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Miami.
Tori Dudley, PhD
Behavioral Health Psychotherapist
Tori is a passionate about supporting families by developing key partnerships and alliances in the behavioral health community. Tori has a decade of experience in the mental health industry and 12 years of training in counseling and organizational psychology. Having entered the field of behavioral health as a psychotherapist, her professional background includes clinical, leadership and business development roles with UHS, Acadia and Newport Academy. Tori holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School, along with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology and B.S. in Psychology, both from the University of West Alabama.
